Author Wins Award

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (February 3, 2009) – Books-and-Authors.net is proud to present its annual 2008 Detective-Suspense Book of the Year to local author, Art Adkins for The Oasis Project. The award will be presented this Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 11:30 am at Borders Bookstore, 6837 West Newberry Road.

Books-and-Authors.net has been an online literary resource for over 5 years for author interviews, Literary resources, book reviews, and home of the book club. Books-and-authors.net is unique to the online literary awards by mixing traditional published books with those which have been self-published. Books-and-authors.net promotes the celebration of readers, writers, and their books.

Books-and-Authors.net recognizes outstanding works in multiple genres from fiction, science-fiction, mystery to health. Art Adkins, with The Oasis Project, won Detective-Suspense Book of 2008. The Oasis Project is a local thriller set in the historic community of Cedar Key.

Art Adkins will be available for interviews and to sign books at Borders from 11:00 to 2:00.
